Home Sweet Home
Last leg in the camper after two weeks with four kids.
And just like that, we’re home!
Two weeks has come and gone and we made it back home safely.
I thought I would be writing along the way, but our long days and lack of internet got in the way.
I was a little bummed about that as I had wanted to write as we experienced things, but then I realized I was doing exactly what I was suppose to be doing - spending long days seeing all the things with my crew.
This was a different type of trip from our time in Colorado…More cities. Shorter drives but longer days. Not much down time and lots packed in.
We saw a ton in Colorado, but not as much as this trip. There wasn’t a day where we didn’t get solidly over 10,000 steps in.
I’ll write more on each stop, but just wanted to hop on while I could and just say that we had the most amazing time in New England…even in New York.
It’s a mixed bag coming home.
Always sad to see a good time come to an end, but we are all happy to be back.
As soon as the camper stopped, we all jumped out and ran straight to Byron and Indie and then to the chickens. I even weeded a bit in my veggie garden and picked some peas.
These two were extremely happy to see us!
Unfortunately, the tedious tasks of unpacking and cleaning up from being on the road for two weeks has to happen today because the bigs turn around for camp in two days, so not much time for dilly-dallying. No rest for the weary, but that’s alright. We can always rest next week.
We wrapped up the trip laughing about some of our favorite memories and thanking God for our safe trip and time together. Aubyn even asked when our next trip was and if it could be longer, so I’ll take that as a sign that the trip was a success!
It’s late. I’m tired. And Justin and I want to watch a war movie, so I’ll stop for now and write more about the trip tomorrow. Plus, the laundry is waiting…
